Morning: Enjoy a walk around the pretty Saddleworth villages of Delph and Diggle with the new Saddleworth Village Trail guides.  Short, medium or long routes take you past historic features, such as the Roman Forts at CastleshawFor lunch and a sweet treat afterwards, pop into the local bakery or craft shop café in Delph or amble along to Grandpa Greene's ice cream canal side cabin in Diggle.

Afternoon: Spend the afternoon browsing the luxury goods on display in Country Classics mill shop, home to the North West’s leading cashmere specialists. Indulge in some retail therapy with 100% cashmere knitwear for ladies and gentlemen’s clothing made exclusively in Scotland by Johnston’s of Elgin, plus their own brand of lower price lambs wool and cashmere knitwear.

Alternatively, head to Uppermill and explore the boutique clothes stores, local food retailers, specialist bookshops, craft and gift shops.  Before treating yourself to tea and cake in one of the lovely cafes.

Evening: After a packed afternoon of shopping enjoy dinner at one of Saddleworth’s fantastic restaurants or pubs followed by an enchanting evening stroll along the Huddersfield Narrow Canal.
