Takeaway Tuesday Family Drop-in (Ages 4 – 11)

Come and ‘Make Do & Mend’ at our Takeaway Tuesday with thrifty war time crafts including rag rug mat weaving and recycled fabric poppies. 

Join the museum’s remembrance of 100 years since the end of WW1. Have a go at some Make Do and Mend crafts inspired by our wartime displays and contribute to our WW1 remembrance tree.
- Find out how people recycled in the war
- Use rag-rugging to make colourful mats from fabric scraps
- Sew poppies to take home and add to our remembrance tree
