Saddleworth Live: Velma Celli's Equinox - HALLOWE'EN SPECIAL

Thurs 1st Nov 2018 at 8pm

Millgate Arts Centre, Stoneswood Road, Delph

Something FABULOUS this way comes!

Fresh from her 5-star, sell-out run of 'Iconic - A Brief History of Drag' at Edinburgh Fringe, international cabaret and West End star, Velma Celli, brings her brand new show to the Millgate Arts Centre.

Known as the witching hour, and when daylight and darkness are almost equal, it is at the Equinox when the diva is unleashed. This Halloween, you are invited to Velma's lair to celebrate all her favourite bitching witches! This is a spellbinding musical journey with The Grand High Witch herself, though this loveable diva ain't no Wicked Witch of the West. From Ursula to Elphaba and every belty enchantress from the coven in between, Velma Celli will Put a Spell On You with a little bit of her practical cabaret magic.

Suitability: 16+ (Guideline)

Ian Stroughair (the man behind the makeup) is a triple threat of heavenly vocals, theatrical swagger and razor-sharp wit. He is a West end and cabaret star who has appeared in hit Musicals such as ChicagoCatsFame and Rent where he received critical acclaim.

"A Stand out turn"  Mark Shenton, The Guardian & The Stage

"A sensational performer at the height of his game" West End Frame

"Electrifying vocals and impassioned theatricality from the cabaret and West End star..." The List

"A voice so powerful he should require a license to operate it." ★★★★★ Broadway Baby
