Claire Martin has been a driving force in the UK jazz scene for the past 25 years and has won an array of accolades, including six British Jazz Awards. Her massive contribution to music was noted in 2011 when she was the proud recipient of an OBE. She has recorded 15 albums, collaborating with musical luminaries including Stephane Grappelli and Sir Richard Rodney Bennett (who composed the movie score for “Yanks”), and presents the BBC Radio 3 programme ‘Jazz Line Up’ with Julian Joseph on top of her busy touring schedule.

Bookings can be made in person, by phone or online. The box office (at Delph Library) is open Tuesdays 2pm–5pm; Wednesdays  2pm–7pm; Thursdays 1pm-6pm and Fridays & Saturdays from 9:30am–1pm. Road Directions

The Millgate Arts Centre  is in the centre of Delph, which is one of the beautiful, historic villages that make up the district of Saddleworth - the little slice of Yorkshire that is in the north-eastern part of Greater Manchester (Oldham) that creeps up into foothills the Pennines.

The Millgate Arts Centre is about 12 miles from the centre of Manchester and lies just off the A62, about half way between Manchester and Huddersfield. 

Coming from Manchester or Oldham on the A62, about half a mile after passing Albion Farm Shop and Cafe on your left,  turn left at The Sound (just before The Old Bell Inn). You will find the Millgate on your left in the centre of the village, opposite the free public car park on Millgate. 

It is not far from the M62 motorway - about 5 miles from either Junction 21 (Milnrow)  or  Junction 22 (Saddleworth) towards Oldham/Manchester.
