<p>Saddleworth Concerts Society - The Leonora Trio</p>

<p>Wednesday 25 October 2017 at 7.30pm</p>

<p>Originating from an academic gathering at the Charterhouse Summer Music School in 2010 when the members of the Trio met and subsequently played together in various combinations.</p>

<p>Each member is a specialist musician and teacher. The clarinettist Rachael Gibbon lives in Saddleworth and is well known as a lecturer at the RNCM, Salford University and Leeds College of Music as well as being the accompanist to the Saddleworth Singers. The pianist David Elwin is a highly experienced accompanist having been pianist to the Festival Ballet later to become the English National Ballet. The third member of the Trio is the cellist Christine Draycott formerly with the Reutlingen Symphony Orchestra in Germany before joining the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. Recently she has been taking part in the International Diploma at the Grieg Academy Bergen.</p>
