Come and meet some great comic guests who have drawn, written and published your favourite superheroes and discover new comics and artwork. Everyone is welcome whether you are a seasoned con-goer or a first timer and don’t forget you can dress up and geek out. With over 30 guest artists and writers including, Amy Chu – writer on Red Sonja, Poison Ivy and Wonder Woman – and Keith Williams, who started as a background artist at Marvel and has worked on many greats since, including Spider-Man. Plus, great stalls selling comics and superhero merchandise, free workshops, panels and talks throughout the day.

Guests include:

Aneke, first started working for DC in 2018, where she worked on series like DC Comics Bombshells and Gotham City Garage. Prior to working for DC, Aneke did pencilling, inking and cover work for Dynamite Entertainment on the first volume of Legendary: Red Sonja and third volume of Red Sonja

Steve Austin, is a regular contributor to 2000ad, most recently he has drawn Keeper of Secrets, a Tharg's 3riller. He has also drawn stories for the upcoming Anthology Rejected by Eighth Continent publishing.

Amrit Birdi, is a No.1 Times Best-Selling Comic Book Artist, best known for illustrating Joe Sugg’s Username: Series (Hodder & Stoughton).

Nick Brokenshire, is a writer and artist for IDW’s Star Wars Adventures, Nick also supplied the artwork for IDW’s all-ages Amelia Cole series as well as Dark Horse Comic’s The once and future Queen.

Ryan Brown, is a Digital Painter, Cover Artist and Comic Book Colourist. He has worked on comic books, board games, video games, concept art and album covers, Ryan has been involved with projects as diverse as Mars Attacks, Judge Dredd, Creepy Comics, Ninja Turtles, V-Wars, Gears of War, Lady Death and Jacked.

Amy Chu, is the writer on Red Sonja, KISS and X-Files Deviations series. Her work for DC and Marvel includes Poison Ivy, Ant-Man, Deadpool, Sensation Comics Wonder Woman and Wonder Woman '77. She cofounded Alpha Girl Comics, publisher of Girls Night Out and also produces educational comics for organizations such as the New York Historical Society, Baltimore Museum of Art, and the Museum of Chinese in Americas.

Michael Carroll, is the author of thirty-something books, including the acclaimed New Heroes series of Young Adult superhero novels and the #1 Amazon best-selling cult graphic novel Judge Dredd: Every Empire Falls. He currently writes Judge Dredd for 2000AD and Judge Dredd Megazine.

Mike Collins, Mike is a writer and illustrator best known for his work on licensed properties such as Dr Who, Captain Britain, Tranformers, Star Trek, Babylon 5 and 2000AD.

Alan Cowsill, wrote Stormwatcher for Acme/Eclipse before spending ten years as an editor at Marvel UK working on the US titles and Overkill. He was the launch editor for Panini UK's Marvel reprint line and wrote the first UK-originated Spider-Man strips for over a decade in Spectacular Spider-Man Adventures (UK). He created the best-selling Jackie Chan Adventures and the award-winning Classic Marvel Figurine Collection and DC Super Hero Collection for Eaglemoss Publishing and presently edits the Marvel Movie Collection.

Neil Edwards, produce his first commercial work for Marvel in 1996. From there he worked for graphic design agencies before becoming freelance and a marvel exclusive artist. Since then he has worked on various books including Superman, Fantastic Four, Dr Who, Spider-Man, Avengers, Batman, Justice League, Green Lantern, Torchwood and Hercules. His Spider-man season one graphic novel was also a New York Times best seller.

Al Ewing, began his career writing stories in the five-page Future Shocks format for 2000 AD and eventually moved on to regular stints on Judge Dredd where he wrote a story, “Doctor What?” that marked Brendan McCarthy’s return to 2000 AD. The two would go on to work together on a new series The Zaucer of Zilk. Recent work includes Damnation Station and Zombo.

Martin Griffiths, has been a professional artist since 1986. Beginning his freelance career with Marvel UK, on titles including, Transformers, Thundercats, Ghostbusters, Action Force and Doctor Who. In the early 90’s Marvel UK begin producing comics for the American market.

Kev Hopgood, started his comic career in the mid-1980s, working as a penciller on the Marvel UK strip Zoids. Work for various titles followed, including Action Force, Doctor Who and 2000 AD, where he co-created the series Night Zero. He went on to a three year stint as penciller for Iron Man for Marvel in the US.

Laura Howell, is the first female artist to draw for the Beano, which she still contributes to every week, Laure also worked on VIZ, the DFC, MAD magazine and popular media titles such as Angry Birds and Cartoon Network’s Regular Show and Uncle Grandpa.

John Davis-Hunt, is a Video Game Designer and comic book artist. While working in the video-game industry he most notably helped to create the award winning GRID, DIRT and FORZA HORIZON series. John started drawing comics in 2008, working predominantly for 2000AD on JUDGE DREDD, AGE OF THE WOLF and DANDRIDGE.

Paul McCaffrey, worked as a freelance illustrator, mainly in the area of children’s education. His clients have included NME, Vox, Punch, Deadline, Empire, CUP, OUP, Attack! Books, Macmillan, Harcourt and Heinemann, amongst others.

David 'Max' Millgate, career has spanned over 28 years, working in comic books, computer games, films, television and also the music industry. He's produced artwork for the BBC, Universal Studios, Lionsgate Films, Heavy Metal Magazine, Sci-Fi Now Magazine, Sumo Games, Zoemode Games, Rebellion Ltd, Imagine Publishing, Alchemy Carta, Games Workshop, 2000AD and Judge Dredd Megazine.

Monte Michael Moore, has been involved in comics, gaming, pin-up and entertainment illustration for more than 20 years. his Dungeons & Dragons work includes interior art for the third edition Monster Manual (2000), Monsters of Faerûn (2001), the third edition Manual of the Planes (2001), the 3.5 Monster Manual (2003), Expanded Psionics Handbook (2004), Complete Arcane (2004), Races of Destiny (2004), Complete Adventurer (2005), and Anauroch: The Empire of Shade (2007). This is Monte’s only European appearance this year! Don't miss it!

Simon Myers, is best known for his work on the Doctor Who Comic Books by Titan Comics Simon created the “album homage” series of covers and the “watercolour portrait” covers. He has created covers for many more of Titan Comics’ properties such as Assassin’s Creed, Torchwood, Vikings and Sherlock.

James Peaty, over the past decade James has worked for publishers including DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Dark Horse Comics, Titan Comics and Rebellion on titles including X-Men Unlimited, The Batman Strikes! Green Arrow, Justice League Unlimited, Supergirl, Michael Chabon’s The Escapist, Doctor Who and 2000AD.

Richard Piers Rayner, career started in 1988, illustrating for DC Comics and Marvel Comics. His works include Hellblazer, Swamp Thing, L.E.G.I.O.N., Doctor Fate, and Doctor Who. His most notable work is Road to Perdition, which was adapted into a film in 2002, starring Tom Hanks, and directed by Sam Mendes.

Ian Richardson, is a comic book penciller, inker and cover artist best known for his work across several publishers, working on titles from 2000AD, Image Comics, Marvel UK/Panini, Darkhorse Comics & Zenescope Entertainment among others. Particularly known for his work on Noble Causes, Sinister Dexter, Judge Dredd, Halo, Grimm Fairy Tales, Evil Heroes and The Black Sable.

Karl Richardson, his career began almost 20 year ago at Warhammer monthly, working on Daemonifuge2 and then Lonewolves. Since then he has been a regular contributor for 2000ad, producing covers and interior work for Judge Dredd, Grey Area, Outlier and more recently Mechastopheles.

John Royle, has been the regular penciller of IDW's, kicking off with five-issue of Danger Girl/G.I. Joe crossover. John moved on to Marvel UK and a run on Knights of Pendragon that took him into 1993, John worked for Marvel until 1996, his most high profile projects being Wolverine: Evilution and Excalibur.

After a seven-year break he resurfaced at Panini (Marvel UK as was) for which he contributed to multiple issues of Spectacular Spider-Man, he currently providing numerous cover for IDW's G.I.JOE Real American hero and is a  regular cover artist on many titles for Dynamite including  Elvira, Red Sonja, Bettie Page, Zenescope and Titan Comics.

Lew Stringer, is a freelance humour artist and writer who has created many strips for British comics over the past 35 years including Combat Colin, Tom Thug, Pete and his Pimple, Derek the Troll and many more.

Ellen Stubbings, is a comic creator, children's book illustrator and all round cute thing maker! She lives with her husband and tuxedo cat, both of whom feature in her diary comic 'May Contain Cats'.

Dave Taylor, has worked in the comic industry for nearly 30 years covering all aspects. He is a talented artist, inker, penciller and colourist. Dave started his career with Marvel UK and quickly broke into the American market working on the likes of Iron Mans Force Works. At D.C. Comics Dave worked on several Batman series also creating the complete artwork for an original graphic novel Batman: Death by Design.

Dylan Teague, has been working in comics for about 20 years. He's done most of his work for 2000ad and Judge Dredd the magazine and has also worked for Marvel and DC.

Lee Townsend, started working in the comic industry as an artist for Marvel UK on Deaths Head, Action Man, Transformers mainly as an inker, he’s then went to work in animation for several years for Disney and Dreamworks, returning to work on comics for Marvel including Spider-Man, Avengers, X-Men, Hulk, Iron Man, Black Panther.

Keith Williams, started as a background artist at Marvel on Marvel Two in One, with Mike Esposito. The Avengers, with Joe Sinnott. Secret Wars, with Mike Zeck. Alpha Flight, The Hulk, with John Byrne, and many more. Keith began inking regularly starting with Web of Spider-Man, pencilled by Alex Saviuk, which lasted for four years.

Phil Winslade has worked for 2000AD, DC Comics, Vertigo and Marvel, working on titles including Goddess (with Garth Ennis), Daredevil/Spider-Man, Judge Dredd, Batman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Howard the Duck and more.

Steve Yeowell, first professional work was with Grant Morrison on licensed toy series “Zoids” in the pages of Marvel UK weekly “Spider Man And Zoids”, before moving on to draw 2000AD’s superhero character “Zenith”. For DC Comics he has pencilled “Sebastian O”, “The Invisibles”, “Starman”, “Legends of the Dark Knight”, and “The Atom” for DC’s Convergence event of 2015. For Marvel Comics he pencilled “Skrull KIll Krew” and at 2000AD he has also drawn “Judge Dredd”, “DeMarco PI”, the long running Harryhausan-esque pirate adventure “The Red Seas”, dark ages lycanthrope fantasy “Black Shuck” and, currently, “Sinister Dexter”.
