Off the Rails Comedy Club - Ian Stone, Matt Richardson, TBC, MC Mick Ferry

30th October 2022 at Royal George. Greenfield.

Show starts 8pm Tickets £10 from the venue or online

Acts subject to change. Fully seated. 18+ Proper sweary, swearing. We want everyone to have a great night so please pop your phone on silent and don’t chat whilst the show is in progress. Thanks! Sorry, but we can only reallocate or refund if the show is cancelled.

It’s our Halloween Comedy Night!  Sticking with tradition we have put an excellent bill together that has nothing to do with Halloween whatsoever. So, stay at home and waiting other people’s entitled brats to knock on your door or come and laugh your socks off with us.

First time here for Ian Stone!  If you’re a fan of Mock The Week or 5 Live’s Fighting Talk then Ian will already have made you laugh. This north London, working class, Jewish comedian has an easy-going manner that endears him to any crowd.

He has also achieved a couple of ‘firsts’, first Brit comic to gig in Moscow and first on the Mumbai Comedy Store too. Firsts are all well and good but he also has a pretty impressive ‘last’ when he was booked for the QE2’s last trip across the Atlantic.

Ian is also a successful author. ‘To Be Somebody’ tells of his love of post-punk band, The Jam, even gaining approval from front man Paul Weller; ‘I really liked this book. I’d forgotten how shit it was in the seventies

The Independent newspaper declared Ian to be amongst the top ten stand up comedians in Britain and the rest of the press have been pretty impressed too!

“Seriously funny” The Guardian   “Ultimately, it’s the sheer quantity of funny material that impresses” The List

“Stone’s beautifully crafted stories, peppered with gags and asides were hilarious throughout.” Chortle

Despite starting stand-up at the tender age of eighteen Matt Richardson was soon a finalist in various competitions, won several new act awards and this led to regular appearances at the bigger comedy clubs.

It was Matt’s first full length show that kick started career moving when ‘Hometown Hero’ was named ‘Best New Show’ at the Leicester Comedy Festival.

The TV execs were quick to notice Matt’s talents and he replaced Olly Murs as host on ITV2’s ‘The Xtra Factor’ (alongside Caroline Flack) which led to a nationwide tour of ‘Hometown Hero’ which covered 54 dates.

TV includes Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Celebrity Juice, Sweat The Small Stuff, Celebrity Squares, I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! Now! and Big Brother’s Bit on the Side as well as numerous radio appearances.

“Hilarious and charming”  Mirror “Sharp, funny and warm”   Heat Magazine

Mick Ferry needs no introduction to Off The Rails regulars but, if you have yet to have had the pleasure, he is, quite simply, the best MC working in the UK today. Whether he’s running with a scatterbrained idea, an audience suggestion or dipping into his extensive mental files of absolute, top drawer gags and routines, the end result is a barrage of laughter from a very happy audience and that is what we are all about.

“See him or regret it” John Bishop

Off The Rails Comedy Club is programmed, promoted and produced by Comedy In A Van
