To commenmorate 100 years since the end of the First World War, live@thelibrary is hosting a series of talks and performances about Oldham during the war from the frontline to the homefront.
The Battle of the Somme was one the defining moments of the First World War. In this talk John Fidler recounts his visit to the cemeteries of the Somme and reveals the stories of some of the Oldham men buried there.
