Rasta Liv

Oldham Library, Greaves Street, OL1 1AL, Oldham.

Thursday 17th October 2019 , 7pm, £5

Rasta Liv is a biographical look at the life of a man committed to the future well-being of his family, his community and the continent he called home, Africa.

The story follows Ellis Hercules’ journey from 1957 St Kitts to 2013 Ethiopia, via Leeds and Manchester in the 60s, 70s and 80s. Interviews with friends and family and a rich archive of letters, photographs and other ephemera are uncovered through physical performance, video projection and a live performance of a newly composed soundtrack.
