English Jazz Orchestra is an exciting, full line-up swing ensemble playing all your big band favourites, guaranteed to get you tapping your feet and humming all the way home …
The band plays classics from Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller, Ted Heath and the Dorsey Brothers. Our vocalists, Peter Woodcock, Gail Atkinson and Sheron Donaldson, bring you the great songs of Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennet, Bobby Darin, Ella Fitzgerald, Natalie Cole, Carmen McCrae and more.
English Jazz Orchestra is an innovative project, with rehearsal bases in London and Oldham, performing with a blend of established pro jazz players and up-and-coming local talent. Our Oldham Band launched in 2017 and this will be our debut performance, right here in our heartland and for all our local friends and supporters.
