All events are free. Please note activities take place at different times through the day and booking may be required.
Peshkar Productions and Oldham Libraries present a celebration of all things digital including lots of digital art activities, help and advice, 3d printing, green screen, coding, VR animation and micro:bits.
Peshkar Young Digitals Festival will be hosting an exhibition of brand new artwork from local professional and emerging artists and holding drop in workshops in photography, VJ-ing and GIF art. Young people aged between 5 and 25 can also achieve an Arts Award Discover certificate by attending and taking part in the festival.

We’ll have stalls from local businesses and organizations including University Campus Oldham, who will be available to talk about digital courses and careers, and our Failsworth Code club who will be showing off their latest projects!

Animation Creation
Booking essential, 11am-12pm
Have a go at stop motion animation at Oldham Libraries Digital Festival! Grab your favourite toy or LEGO minfig and use stop motion techniques to bring your characters to life! Or have a go at sculpting a clay figure to star in your own stop motion film. This workshop is for ages 7+

Little Coders

Road Directions
Free town centre parking : You can park for free for up to 3 hours on all Council owned town centre car parks every Saturday and Sunday. To qualify for this offer you must take a ticket from the pay and display machine for the length of time you are intending to stay.
Council owned town centre car parks: Civic Centre, Waterloo Street, Southgate Street, Bow Street, Bradshaw Street, Rock Street, Tommyfield (No Return Within 3 Hours) and New Radcliffe Street
What to do:
To take advantage of this offer you must take a ticket from the pay and display machine for the length of time you intend to stay. The ticket must be clearly displayed in the windscreen of your vehicle before you leave the car park. If you want to park for longer than 3 hours you must pay at the pay and display machine for the entire length of your stay. You can also park for up to 30 minutes on-street, seven days a week when you take a ticket from the pay and display machine.
Public Transport Directions
The Metrolink route through the heart of Oldham drops you just two minutes from our door. Oldham Library provides a wide range of activities targeted at different audiences of all ages within Oldham and the surrounding area. From Oldham Central stop head towards Sainsbury’s car park and almost immediately you’ll see the building. Trams operate at least every 12 minutes in both directions.
