Walking in the footsteps of history you will discover the many trans-Pennine highways including Roman roads, pack horse trails, toll roads and the Huddersfield Narrow Boat Canal – all important trading routes to cross over, and under, the Pennines linking the historic counties of Lancashire and Yorkshire.
