Located in Uppermill, Oldham, The Frostery is a delightful, family owned cake shop headed by the highly regarded, award winning cake artist Suzanne Thorp. Suzanne, formerly the head cake-decorator at Trifles in Ashton-Under-Lyne is renowned for her exciting and original designs and for making the most delicious cakes. 

 Hand made, contemporary wedding, christening and birthday cakes are available to order and are uniquely designed for each customer. 

 Visit The Frostery to find a feast of delightful sponge cakes, tarts, meringues and tempting slices - the perfect edible indulgence or special gift. The Frostery is dedicated to providing consistently good food, professionally produced in small batches - food that not only looks amazing but tastes great. 

If some of the cakes look familiar it may be because The Frostery’s cakes are regularly seen by millions on Coronation Street. Whenever there is a big soap wedding in Wetherfield, it is one of The Frostery’s unique designs that is the centrepiece cake. 

 Suzanne holds regular cake decorating masterclasses at The Frostery for those interested in learning and developing sugarcraft skills. 

 All the products sold at The Frostery are freshly baked at our shop in Uppermill, using organic Cumbrian eggs, real Welsh butter and Yorkshire flour. 

 The Frostery is open Wednesday to Friday 10am – 4pm and Saturday 10am - 1pm with private wedding cake consultations available from 1pm on Saturdays. 

The Frostery is located at the top of Court St near the Civic Hall.
