Description
The Limekiln are passionate about using locally sourced, organic and fair trade produce and offer a wide selection of soups, sandwiches, main meals and daily specials cooked with love and served with care and pride as well as a full range of specialty teas and coffee, cold drinks, homemade cakes, ice creams and a selection of wines and beers.
Situated beside the canal and a roundabout on the A670 connecting Dobcross, Diggle and Uppermill, the Centre is situated beside moorings at lock 23w (Limekiln lock) and easily accessible for any canal users wishing to stop for refreshments. The cafe would be a great spot to fill up, grab a bite on the way, or a reward with a nice meal at the end.
All food businesses are inspected by the council and given a food hygiene rating based on their compliance with the legal requirements for hygiene, structural condition and confidence in the management. A business is rated from 5 for very good through to 0 for those premises that need to improve urgently. Food hygiene ratings give an indication of the overall level of food hygiene compliance. We recommend you check a business’s food hygiene rating so you can make informed choices about where to buy and eat food. All Oldham food business ratings are on the Food Standards Agency website http://ratings.food.gov.uk/QuickSearch.aspx
