Grandpa Greene has been making ice cream for his family for over eighty years beginning with a churn at the back of his shop. Only fresh ingredients are used including locally sourced milk and cream from John Lancashire's prize-winning cows.

Nestled in the rolling green hills of Diggle, Saddleworth, our award winning ice cream parlour is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a unique dining experience combining quality local ingredients with exquisite views. Grandpa Greene's can accommodate over 100 people within two glass fronted terraces, an indoor dining room, and waterfront seating. Enjoy a stroll along the canal or use the adjacent obstacle adventure course. 

Available in many of Saddleworth's pubs and restaurants, our ice-cream can be bought by the tub (one litre or 500 ml) at the canal-side cafe along the Huddersfield Canal in Diggle just off Ward Lane or by calling 07790092581. Ice Cream flavours include: Banana & Baileys, Fruits of the Forest, Lemon Meringue, Mango & Ginger, Mint Chop Chip, Pistachio & Vanilla, Raspberry Pavlova, Rhubarb Crumble, Simply Saddleworth and Tiramisu.
