Description
Tandle Hill is a mixture of magnificent beech woodland and open grassland with a wide panorama of the surrounding countryside. There are several walks around the park and links to Crompton Moor. Tandle Hill is Oldham’s oldest country park. It has 48 hectares of parkland with mature beech, mixed woodland and grassland. There are views across the Manchester Plain and the Pennine Hills.
Tandle Hill is a designated Site of Biological Importance for its fungi and bird populations.
There is an adventure play area with sand play and basket swing, permannet orienteering course within the park, (Greater Manchester Orienteering Activities website), Walking (dogs too!), Cycling, Bird watching (try and spot Bullfinch, Twite, Lesser Redpoll and Song Thrush) and pond dipping.
Visit the Cafe in the Visitor Centre which is open most weekends and school holidays (weather permitting!)

The Countryside Centre at Tandle Hill has leaflets and information displays on the local area, wildlife and countryside. The park's public toilets are at the centre.
