Description
The Millgate Arts Centre is home to the Saddleworth Players, Saddleworth Film Society and Saddleworth Chamber Concerts Society.
At the heart of Delph village, the centre provides an outlet for a thriving local arts community. The ninetieth century building was formally owned by the Co-operative. It’s been managed and maintained by Saddleworth players since 1972.
Plays, films, concerts, dance shows, art exhibitions, community events and more take place at the Millgate Arts Centre. It has recently been refurbished and has up to date lighting and sound rigs.
The arts centre can also be hired for private events. It has a fully licensed bar and lounge accommodating 60 people. Kitchen facilities are available for caterers. Booking enquiries can be made through the website.
Road Directions
Follow the A62 Huddersfield Road up to Delph. Then turn onto The Sound and head towards the centre of the village. The Millgate Arts Centre is at the junction of Stoneswood Road, Grains Road (B6197) and Millgate (A6052)
