Description
Ideal for family days, the Gallery puts on 16 new exhibitions every year alongside a busy event programme for all ages to enjoy. The award-winning Gallery Oldham presents innovative, contemporary art alongside natural history collections and offers a great mix of family events, live music programmes and arts & craft courses for adults.
3 exhibitions currently running are all selling related products just in time for Christmas. This is a great opportunity to give a loved one a special unique gift.
The Northern Potters (19 November- 8 January)
is a showcase for the Northern Potters Association offering both a visual feast and the opportunity to buy a wide range of ceramics. The show encompasses ceramics in all its forms, including sculptural and decorative objects, ceramic jewellery and functional tableware.
The art of Accessories: Cathy Jordan (26 November- 15 January)
is a retrospective of work including iconic pieces designed for Vivienne Westwood, Mary Quant and Jasper Conran. Local jeweller Cathy has made the Gallery a very special range of affordable jewellery that is on sale in the shop this Christmas.
Picture This! Illustrating Children’s Books (26 November-11 March)
Come along and say hello to Alfie, Duck in a Truck, Fleabag and many other much loved characters. This family friendly exhibition features illustrations from children’s books and fun creative activities. Picture books included in the exhibition are available to buy from the Gallery Shop and could perhaps put make an ideal Christmas present for a much loved little one.
The Gallery shop are also selling Christmas Cards, children’s toys, stocking fillers plus bags, jewellery and accessories by local artists and craftspeople.

Public Transport Directions
By Bus: The gallery is a few minutes' walk from Oldham bus station. There is also a bus stop in front of the gallery on Union Street.
If you are travelling from manchester Bus routes 83 and 180 run regularly to Oldham from the Northern Quarter.
