With a rich history and habitat value recognised by its Site of Biological Interest (SBI) status, Crompton Moor, when given over to OMBC in the mid-1970s, has been extensively reclaimed from its farming and mining past and there has been several development projects over the last 15 years to allow greater biodiversity, visitor access and recreation.
