Surrounded by dramatic Pennine scenery the centre is situated in the heart of Saddleworth. The centre offers free art exhibitions, wildlife displays, a picnic area, shop, and nature garden.
Accessible for all abilities via a ramped walkway, the nature garden features woodland, meadow and pond habitats to encourage butterflies and other animals, with a gazebo and bird hide to watch the wildlife from. Upstairs is the Uploand Discovery Centre, which has displays, information for all on the local area, there are activities for children which are linked into the nature garden. (Accessibility to upstairs limited).
